Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of Novyla. By creating an account, applying to write, or using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Novyla.

1. What Novyla is

Novyla is a reading platform. Anyone may browse and read published work. Writing and publishing are limited to people we invite or accept after an application. We may refuse any application or invite without giving a reason.

2. Your account

You must be at least 13. You are responsible for your login and for what happens on your account. Do not share it. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms.

3. Reading

Published stories are offered for personal, non-commercial reading. You may not scrape, copy, redistribute, or train models on stories without the author's written permission.

4. Writer terms

If you apply, accept an invite, or publish, you also agree that:

• The work you submit is original, or you have the rights to publish it.
• You are not posting someone else's book, fanfiction you do not have rights to, or AI output you present as solely your own without disclosure.
• You keep the copyright. You grant Novyla a non-exclusive license to host, display, and promote the work on Novyla for as long as it remains on the site.
• To apply you must submit the full Chapter 1 (at least 800 words), or a prologue plus Chapter 1. A short excerpt is not enough, and we will not accept the application without it.
• Application openings are for private review only. Acceptance does not mean we must feature the book.
• You will rate mature work honestly. We may hide or remove work that is mis-rated or harmful.
• You will not harass readers or other writers.

5. Applications and invites

An application is a request, not a right to publish. Unpublished samples stay off the public shelf. An invite is one-person, one-use. We may revoke writing access if the live work is not yours, is spam, or breaks these Terms.

6. Tips

Tip links go to the author's own page (Ko-fi, PayPal, and similar). Novyla does not process those payments and does not take a cut. Disputes are between you and the author.

7. Prohibited content

Do not post illegal content, sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, malware, or content whose main purpose is to scam or spam. We will remove it and may report it.

8. Termination

You may stop using Novyla at any time. We may remove work or close accounts that break these Terms. If we close a writer account, public pages may come down; we are not required to host a copy for you.

9. Disclaimers

Novyla is provided as-is. Stories are written by users, not by us. We are not liable for what readers or writers post, or for lost drafts, except where the law says we cannot limit that.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms. The date at the top is the latest version.

This is Novyla's operating agreement, not a substitute for advice from a lawyer in your country. Have it reviewed before you take the site public.
