Privacy Policy

Last updated 16 August 2026

This policy explains what Novyla collects and how we use it. By using the site you agree to this policy and to our Terms of Use.

What we collect

  • Account details you give us: email, username, display name, bio, social links, tip link.
  • Writer applications: pitch, sample, title, genre — kept for review, not shown on the public site.
  • Reading data you choose to save: progress, library, follows, likes.
  • Technical basics needed to run the site (device, browser, and security logs when we are live).

How we use it

To run Novyla, keep you signed in, show your library, review writing applications, and keep the shelf safe. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use application samples as public content or as training data.

Who sees unpublished work

Application samples and drafts are visible only to you and to the site owner in Studio. They are not listed in Browse, Home, or search.

Local demo vs live

While Novyla runs on your own browser in demo mode, data stays in that browser. When the live database is connected, the same rules apply on the server, with access limited to your account and to the owner for applications.

Cookies

We use only what we need to keep a session and remember settings such as theme. We do not use advertising trackers in this build.

Your choices

You can edit your profile, sign out, or ask us to delete an account. Deleting an account removes or unpublishes work tied to it, except where we must keep a record of abuse.

Children

Novyla is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top is the latest version.
